Anderson’s 1st Child Abuse Prevention Run

We are a Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Agency Serving Greenville, Pickens, Anderson, Oconee. The Parenting Place / Prevent Child Abuse, a non-profit organization serving children and parents in the Upstate of South Carolina since 1991, exists to build relationships and provide resources, services, and support that will prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect in the Upstate of S.C. Our vision, of Upstate children thriving in healthy families free of abuse and neglect is our over-arching goal. We serve families in Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, and Anderson Counties. Anyone in a parenting role is eligible for our Healthy Families Program.  We provide free, voluntary intensive home visitation services for prenatal and new parents.  We also have a counseling program All Counseling and Supportive Services are free and confidential. Services are provided in-home or at a convenient, safe location.  We encourage everyone to consider professional counseling as an invaluable tool for maintaining emotional health and positive relationships. Just as you would provide regular maintenance for your car or see a doctor for sick visits, it is important to fuel your mental health! You can see a counselor to help give your emotional intelligence a boost, identify your strengths, and navigate successfully through some of life’s toughest struggles.
