Come join us for the 2024 Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5k on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 28th at 9:00 am. The race conveniently starts and finishes next to Albemarle High School and the course is held on the surrounding neighborhood roads consisting of flat stretches and mild rolling hills with a total elevation gain of 133 feet. Ample parking will be available at Albemarle High School, Journey Middle School, and Greer Elementary.
Our race beneficiaries are the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. Both provide critical food resources to those in need. The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank services the Central Virginia area and is an affiliate of the national food bank, Feeding America. Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, located on the race route, is the largest distributor of food from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in the Charlottesville area. It exists to provide food assistance to families and individuals in need in Charlottesville and surrounding communities by providing free groceries up to two times a month. A third of visiting households come twice a month.
