The annual Free Spirit Run is being held in memory of Jordyn Claiborn, who was killed in a car accident on September 11, 2009. All proceeds for the run will benefit the Free Spirit Award at Hays High and the Jordyn Claiborn Memorial Scholarship at the FHSU Herndon Clinic for Speech and Language. The run is named in honor of the way Jordyn lived her life - Free. The Free Spirit Run will feature a 5K and 10K division as well as a “Free Spirit” division for those who want to contribute and set their distance.
