Race For Communication 5K, 10K, And 1M

Join us for the Race for Communication at scenic Lake Accotink Park!

Proceeds from this race will bolster the International Association for Spelling as Communication's (l-ASC) work, which promotes inclusion and empowerment among nonspeakers who experience sensory-motor disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, and more!

Can't make it out to the race? We offer a virtual race option! All virtual racers will receive a medal. T-shirts can be added to your virtual order if you register prior to April 2, 2025. Register for the virtual run now by choosing the virtual race option at checkout. It's that easy!

Virtual runners receive the same medals and t-shirts as in-person runners.

Course Map
Lake Accotink to Wakefield Course - This is an out-and-back for both runs where the 5k is mostly trail with the 10k being about 50-50% with a paved section as well. There are some small elevation gains as runners go on the north side of the lake.

Time:
1-Miler (run/walk) - 10 am
10k - 10:15 am
5k - 10:30 am

Registration Fees:
5K - $30, until March 30 ($35)
10K - $45, until March 30 ($50)
1-Mile - $15
