Proceeds from the Freeze Out 5K support the Rescue Mission’s work to provide emergency shelter and support programs for those experiencing homelessness. The Rescue Mission’s emergency shelter expects to see record need this winter, with up to 195 men and women staying with us every night. Additionally, our Street Outreach Team is working full time to meet people experiencing homelessness outdoors, build their trust, and help move them into shelter or permanent housing.
Online registration is open until noon on Thursday, February 20; walk-in registration begins at 6pm on Friday at the SRC Arena.
Registration is $40, or $15 for participants who commit to raise $110 or more. Anyone who raises $750 or more will receive a logo'd Columbia Ascender Soft Shell Jacket!
All participants will receive a glow accessory, t-shirt, and finisher’s medal.
The run/walk starts at 7 pm, and is timed and USATF-certified. The Freeze Out 5K includes an after-party in the SRC Arena with food and drink samplings, a basket raffle and music by the Mere Mortals.
