Union City: Officer Owens Memorial Run

UC High School Student Council is eager to partner with our local Police Department to host a charity run in honor of Officer Brandon Owens - who fell after contracting COVID-19 while working in the line of duty. Anytime an officer is lost, the effects are felt throughout the community - this is especially true in a small town like ours.

Monies raised will go to UC "Shop with a Cop" outreach program, which annually allows for special Holiday experiences for kids on our community. 

We are excited to announce the inaugural 10k run "The Country Mile", as well as our fast "Pace Keeper" 5k run. Families and folks of all ability levels are welcome to come together and participate in the 1 mile, Family Fun Run/Walk - all sponsored through partnership with UCPD and UCPS.

After the run stay, eat, and enjoy our 1st annual Memorial Charity Event - hosted by several of our student groups and community members. 

Our event date is Saturday, April 20th - races begin at 2pm. 

We are excited to work with Oklahoma Race Company - who will provide electronic chip timing, course management, registration services, start/finish, and race director services.
