Our Vision and Mission:
Our vision is to preserve and enhance our community’s open space and natural resources for the benefit of future generations.
The Essex Land Trust acquires and preserves open space to protect the environment and the small town character of the villages of Essex, Centerbrook and Ivoryton and to provide our community with passive recreational and educational opportunities.
The Essex Land Trust is an independent, non-profit organization supported by donations and managed by volunteers. Funding for stewardship of our preserves, as well as our on-going operations, comes from our members and donors.
